| Dr. Laura Verónica Plá was born in Argentina. She graduated as Biochemist in the School of Biochemistry and Pharmacy at the National University of Rosario, Argentina. In the year 2000 she received her Ph. D. at the Henri Poincaré University, Nancy, France, in Biological and Medical Engineering, presenting her dissertation on Contribution to the study of monoclonal antibodies affinity by optical-physics methods. Since August 2001 she is full time Proffessor in the Department of Chemical-Biological Sciences, School of Sciences, Universidad de las Américas, Puebla, México. She was distinguished with the Award for Academic Merit for having one of the best marks during her career in the National University of Rosario. Dr. Plá received the Award from the Argentine Society of Microcirculation and Hemorheology for the work on Evaluation of the agglutination energy by monoclonal antibodies, presented in the 1st. International Congress of Microcirculation and Hemorheology which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October 1999. She was Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), México, from 2002 to 2005. She was Official Guest of the School of Biochemistry and Pharmacy at the National University of Rosario, Argentina, in May 2004 and December 2005. She participated in research projects in collaboration with the National University of Rosario, Argentina, and the Henri Poincaré University, Nancy, France and in research projects carried out in the Universidad de las Américas, Puebla, México. She has published seven papers in collaboration in international journals of high level and has presented 27 Communications in International Congresses in Argentina, Hungary, France, United States of America and Mexico. She has supervised seven thesis of the major in Chemicalpharmacobiology and in Pharmacological Sciences as Director and Co-directos and two Masters in Clinical Biomedicine. She was Member of the Jury of several Masters and Licenciatura Thesis. She has attended many courses related with her subject in Argentina, France and México and has attended Congresses and Seminars in those countries. She belongs to the Biology Society of Rosario, Argentina, since 2004 to the Mexican Society of Tropical Medicine since 2005 and the Commission of Technical and Medical Sciences of the Foro Consultivo Poblano para la Innovación y el Desarrollo Tecnológico since 2006. |
