Dr. J. Daniel Lozada-Ramirez was born in Mexico City in 1974. He completed his undergraduate studies in Chemistry specialized in Biology and Pharmacology (formation in Biotechnology), at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla. He obtained a Master’s degree in Biotechnology in 2002 at the same university. Likewise, he completed his PhD in Fundamental Biology oriented to Biochemistry and Enzymatic Biotechnology at the Universidad de Murcia (Spain) from 2002 to 2006, earning the distinction Magna Cum Laude. Furthermore, he has served as Full-Time Professor at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla from 2001 to date, teaching the following courses: Advanced Biochemistry, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Experimental Biology, Molecular Biology, Fermentation and Bioreactors, Obtaining of Active Principles by Biotechnology, among others, associated with the degrees in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Biochemistry, and Nutrition Sciences, the Masters in Clinical Biomedicine and Biotechnology, and the Doctorate in Molecular Biomedicine. He is author of several scientific publications in international indexed journals, director of several Doctorates, Masters, and Bachelors theses, benefited and participated in funded research projects, and presented papers and lectures in a number of international and national conferences. He was the Academic Director of the Chemical and Biological Sciences Department from 2012 to 2015 and nowadays, he is the Dean of the School of Sciences at UDLAP (since 2015). He is member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores Level I (2022-2024), and researches on the obtaining and stabilization of nutraceuticals and enzymatic systems.
