YOLANDA LETICIA MORENO CAVAZOS

Degrees:
Maestría en Estudios Profesionales en Telecomunicaciones Interactivas, New York University.
Licenciada en Mercadotecnia, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Campus Monterrey.

Areas of interest:
Diseño interactivo, diseño de experiencias, diseño transmedia, cultura digital, arte interactivo y tecnología.
Yolanda received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from ITESM in 1998. She studied Business and Corporate Governance at WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management (1996), which has been named Germany’s Top 1 Business School in many prestigious rankings, such as Financial Times (UK) and Spiegel Magazine (Germany). In 1998 she studied Business Ethics at Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Spain.

In 2002, she earned her Master’s Degree in Interactive Telecommunications from New York University (NYU), where she focused on the imaginative use and future application of communications technologies. She headed the award-winning developing team in charge of NYUs websites, which obtained 6 CASE awards (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, 2000, 2001 and 2002). Yolanda also headed UDLAP’s website redesign project, which earned the Honorable Mention Award by the Web Marketing Association.

Her current and former clients and projects include New York University, University of Maine, UDLAP, Universidad Anáhuac, Tec de Monterrey, El Colegio de México, Universidad Autónoma de Tlaxcala, Barbara Bush Foundation For Family Literacy, Orono Public Library Foundation, Emergency Medical Sciences Training Institute, Eastern Maine AIDS Network, School Violence Lawyers, Tenaris Tamsa AC, Talavera de la Reina, La Cantina de los Remedios, SemMaterials México, Cámara Mexicana de la Industria de la Construcción, Nissan Autotal de México, among others.

She has taught college level courses since 2003 at diverse institutions, such as UDLAP, Ibero, Universidad Anáhuac, inQba and UNARTE. She is currently part of the full-time faculty at UDLAP’s Information Design Department, where she serves as coordinator of the Bachelors Degree Program in Visual Information Design. She has been awarded the "Commitment to Education" Medal (Medalla Compromiso con la Educación) for her teaching excellence.

Yolanda is a video, multimedia and interactive art based artist. Her work has been exhibited nationally and in the United States in numerous occasions. She was a FONCA Fellow during 2009-2010 and received the Government’s Contemporary Art Award in the best video category (2009).

In 2019, Yolanda obtained the "Apple Teacher" Certificate, a recognition granted by Apple regarding to the expert management of such platform for education. She has been invited by Adobe Systems in San Jose California to speak about the use and application of technology in the classroom. She is also part of the "Adobe Education Exchange" network, contributing to the promotion and management of interactive technologies in education.
