Doctor en Economía por la Universidad de Notre Dame (Estados Unidos, 1997). Profesor de tiempo completo en el Departamento de Economía de la UDLAP desde otoño de 1997. Miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores desde 1998, con nombramiento como investigador nivel II a partir de enero de 2017. Campo de investigación: Macroeconomía y Desarrollo.
