JOSÉ LUIS VÁZQUEZ GONZÁLEZ

Degrees:
Doctor en Ciencias Especialidad en Electrónica, Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica.
Maestría en Ciencias especialidad en Electrónica, Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica.
Licenciado en Electrónica, Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla.

Areas of interest:
Sistemas Electrónicos, Mecatrónica, Robótica, Automatización Industrial, Instrumentación Electrónica
He graduated from the Autonomous University of Puebla with a Bachelors degree in Electronics and received the degrees of Masters and Doctorate in sciences with a specialty in Electronics from the National Institute of Optical and Electronic Astrophysics, INAOE, in 1995 and 1999 respectively. He is a full-time professor of the Computer, Electronics and Mechatronics department from 1998 to date.
He is currently academic director of the Computer, Electronics and Mechatronics department.
Visiting professor at Appalachian State University in 2013 and did a research stay at General Electric, Queretaro in 2015. Visiting researcher on multiple occasions at the University of Valencia, Spain and has participated in 3 international weeks organized by the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences , Germany (HSBI).
He coordinated the Masters program at the same institution from 2002 to 2006 and served as Director of the Research Center for Information Technologies and Automation (CENTIA) in the period 2007-2010.
Member of the SNI (Candidate) in the period 2007-2010 and Senior Member of the IEEE since 2007, he was president of the Puebla section of the IEEE in the period 2006-2007 and is currently treasurer of said body as well as advisor of the student branch of the IEEE at UDLAP.
Director of multiple undergraduate, honors and postgraduate theses
Coordinator of 3 Research projects sponsored by the Research and Postgraduate Institute of the UDLA-P and was director of the Mechatronic Manikin project that was sponsored by the company MABE S.A.
His areas of interest are Electronic Instrumentation, Control Systems, Mechatronic Systems, Robotics and Industrial Automation.
He has published more than 40 papers in national and international conferences in these areas and has given lectures at relevant events.
Collaborator in the organization of multiple academic, national and international conferences such as CONIELECOMP, MIDWEST, ISTAS
