Degrees:
Doctorado en Ciencias en la Especialidad de Electrónica, Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica.
Maestría en Ciencias en la Especialidad de Electrónica, Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Óptica y Electrónica.
Licenciatura en Ingeniería Electrónica en Instrumentación, Instituto Tecnológico de Minatitlan.

Instrumentación Biomédica, Mecatrónica, Control, Automatización
Received the B. S. degree in Electrical Engineering From Minatitlán Technological Institute, at Minatitlán, Veracruz, México in 1987, the M. S. and Ph.D. degrees in the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics at Tonantzintla, Puebla, México, in 1990 and 1999 respectively. Since 1988 he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Universidad de las Américas-Puebla as Full Time Professor. His areas of interest are instrumentation, measurement, intelligent control systems, and the last three years, he is currently working in Mechatronics Systems oriented to develop intelligent and autonomous Prosthesis and in design of biomedical instruments. He was Head of the Electronics Engineering Department of the Universidad de las Américas, Puebla from 2002 to 2005 and Dean of the Engineering School in the same university in 2005. He has published around 105 technical contributions on conferences proceedings and some peer revised journals. He has been advisor of 155 bachelor thesis and 20 Master in Sciences Thesis the most in the subject of industrial and medical instrumentation. He is active member in IEEE and during the period of 2008 to 2010, was the president of the IEEE Puebla Section. Since 2010, he is Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligent Society Chapter of the IEEE Puebla Section. He was Chair of the Technical Program of the MWSCAS 2009 which is the oldest conference in the topic of Circuits and System sponsored by IEEE Circuit and Systems Society
