Doctor en Ciencias Financieras, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey Campus Ciudad de México.
Maestro en Economía, El Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas.
Licenciatura en Actuaría, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.


Francisco García Castillo holds a PHD in Financial Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, a Master in Economics from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas, and he is an Actuary from the University of Mexico. His doctoral thesis, entitled "Valuation of deposit insurance: a modern approach", was awarded with the National Derivatives Award offered by the Mexican Stock Exchange in 2009.
He has 24 years of professional experience: he has been Deputy General Director of Risks at the Institute for the Protection of Bank Savings (IPAB), and Financial Planning Manager at the Institute of the National Housing Fund for Workers (Infonavit), among others. Likewise, he has experience in technical actuarial, financial planning and research areas.
Dr. García was an Advisory Professor of a group of UDLAP students who won second place in the Infonavit Economics Prize 2020. In addition, he was Advisory Professor of another group of UDLAP students who were among the ten best essays of the Banxico Challenge 2021.
Professor García is convinced that quality education is the way to change the country; As an express question, he pointed out that he loves teaching because through it he is infected with the energy that young people emanate, and allows him to understand the new perspectives of the young generations, which has allowed him to channel innovative ideas so that they are the same students who carry them out.
He was a professor of the online Master in Finance offered by UDLAP during the 2014-2019 period; and he collaborated in the MBA of UDLAP Jenkings Graduate School during the period 2016-2019. As of 2019 he is a Full Time Professor in the Academic Department of Actuarial, Physics and Mathematics of the School of Sciences of the Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
He is married to Monica and has 3 daughters.
