Downloadable Brochure

Robotics and Telecommunications Engineering graduates are committed to strive and serve society and to improve our world. The program leading to a B.S. degree in Robotics and Telecommunications Engineering at UDLAP guides, nurtures, and prepare students to become alumni who within five years after graduation are expected to achieve one or more of the following milestones:

PEO # 1: Career

Work as professionals within engineering or related areas in industry, academia, government, and other organizations and/or participate in research and development in engineering, science, technology or entrepreneurship to develop projects focused to robotics and telecommunication technologies.

PEO # 2: Practice

Practice Robotics and Telecommunication Engineering in the design, improvement or implementation of systems based on robotics and telecommunication technologies, demonstrating technical expertise, collaborating, and communicating effectively.

PEO # 3: Continuous Learning

Continually expand their skill-set and knowledge, through independent study or high-level training such as professional certifications or graduate degrees.

PEO # 4: Leadership & Professional Engagement

Achieve or maintain positions of influence with relevant impact within their organization, demonstrating professional engagement, ethical and social responsibility through proposals focused to develop products in the areas of robotics and telecommunication or present business in their professional discipline.

As a graduate from the Bachelor of Robotics and Telecommunications Engineering you will be able to analyze, design, evaluate, innovate, and implement robotics systems and telecommunications – using methodologies and tools of electronics, computing, artificial intelligence, robot kinematics and dynamics, control systems, vision in robotics, physics, automation, telecommunications systems and network configuration – to develop technological alternatives that answer the challenges of globalization in this industry.

Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree. Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

  • Knows how to use computers, and electronic and communications equipment.
  • Likes to keep updated in technology.
  • Willing to work for the greater good and to be successful.
  • Determined to achieve goals through learning.

Robotics and Telecommunications Engineering graduates will have developed the following skills:

  1. An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science and mathematics.
  2. An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
  3. An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences (oral & written).
  4. An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
  5. An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks and meet objectives.
  6. An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
  7. An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
