NANOTECHNOLOGY AND MOLECULAR ENGINEERING

Downloadable Brochure

As a graduate from the Bachelor of Nanotechnology and Molecular Engineering you will be able to design, summarize, analyze, characterize, and exploit the physical and chemical properties of new materials, specifically those at a nanometric scale, using interdisciplinary experimental and intellectual skills in nanoscience, nanotechnology, materials science, chemistry, physics, and biology. You will also be able to propose innovative solutions in national and international industries and research centers.

Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree. Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

In addition to enhancing your entry skills, at the Licenciatura in Nanotechnology and Molecular Engineering we propose to:

  • Give you detailed knowledge on the composition, structure, and property of nanostructured, advanced, and molecular materials.
  • Train you in the design and preparation of nanostructured, advanced, and molecular materials to be used in technological equipment.
  • Increase your competencies to assimilate, adapt, and innovate technology, in order to research and develop new nanostructured, advanced, and molecular materials that are useful and functional.
  • Instill in you a responsible and ethical behavior in your work, in order to benefit society.
  • Is innovative, creative, responsible, and proactive.
  • Has an interest in developing research and scientific innovation projects.
  • Willing to work for the greater good and to be successful.
  • Determined to accomplish goals through learning.
  • Has ability and is interested in working in exact and applied sciences.
  • Able to precisely understand the different conceptual and experimental issues of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
  • Has comprehensive and multidisciplinary vision to design, produce, characterize, and use the different properties of advanced and nanostructured materials in diverse technological needs of the environment
  • Has command, both flexible and interdisciplinary, of the different areas that make up nanoscience and nanotechnology to depict, analyze, and interpret the properties of new advanced and nanostructured materials in order to propose innovative solutions that respond to the current technological demands.
  • Can design creative projects in nanoscience and nanotechnology, using knowledge obtained through experimental or theoretical work, as well as to develop strategies to solve problems in industry and research centers in an innovative and critical way.
  • Can assess the impact of developing advanced and nanostructured materials in areas such as health, energy, environmental remediation, nutrition, and others – in an ethical, responsible way based on values – to benefit and develop scientific and technological advances.
