We are searching for enthusiastic early career academics, including recent PhD graduates (ABD candidates may be considered as long as the degree is awarded by July 2017). We invite applicants from world-leading universities to apply, especially those who are looking to expand their teaching experience and are open to explore research opportunities.

Eligible candidates shall be fluent in English (fluency in Spanish is not required, as teaching will be in English, but some knowledge of Spanish is strongly advisable in order to communicate on a daily basis out of campus). Candidates’ terminal degree should be in one of the following fields, where we are currently recruiting.

Duties of the Post:

  • To join UDLAP for a full 18-week academic term, including final exams (Spring 2018 will run from January to May, and Fall 2018 will run from August to December).
  • To teach 24 Credit Hours per term at undergraduate or graduate level; or to teach 18 Credit Hours per term if research active. Priority will be given to those open to engage in joint research projects that may lead to publications.

  • To be actively engaged in the academic life of the hosting department.

What we offer:

  • An ideal academic opportunity to develop teaching skills in a research-intensive environment, which will prove valuable to applicants in their future search for a permanent position in their home countries or abroad.
  • A total salary of approximately USD $4,000.00 per month (tax deductions will depend on the participant’s country of origin and migratory status in Mexico).
  • Please note that travel, housing, meals, and other living expenses including visa issuance costs and international health insurance must be covered by the participant.
