ADMINISTRATION IMPROVEMENT
EVALUATION OF THE PRESIDENT
At the end of 2012, an evaluation of the President´s
administration was performed. This process was
coordinated by a Committee of Evaluation of the
President composed of members of the Business
Council, and representatives from the Board of Trust-
ees, Academic Council, Administrative Council and
Student Council.
In all, 982 surveys were received from full time profes-
sors, administrative employees, unionized employ-
ees and students, representing a 6% increase from
last year.
An external company processed the surveys to make
the process more transparent. The results reflected
an increase in satisfaction of the university commu-
nity during this administration´s four years. There is
a better understanding of the policies and institu-
tional guidelines and UDLAP´s reputation has been
enhanced.
The evaluation of the President is composed of the
opinion of the community regarding criteria such as
institutional objectives, professional qualities of the
President, organization and administration, finan-
cial administration, academic affairs, student affairs,
fundraising, external relations, organizational cli-
mate, management of the institutional values and
conflict resolution.
The overall performance of the President during his
four-year administration has been graded higher
than 3.2 on a scale from 1 to 4.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
This program aims to foster a culture of continuous
improvement at UDLAP through periodical surveys,
which allow the University to create efficient institu-
tional processes that provide quality services.
One of the mechanisms to achieve this objective is
the UDLAP Service Survey, which in 2012 increased
the number of surveys by 14% from 2011, and in the
number of answered surveys by the University com-
munity by 3%.
Also, during Fall 2012 the upward trend in the satis-
faction scores from service users continued, to a level
of 4.23, in a scale from 1 to 5.
