UDLAP OUTREACH
Also, the knowledge and activities of our profes-
sors and students is shared with the public in a radio
carousel, which started in April 2011 from Monday
through Friday. Through this, members of the Uni-
versity community go to the five most important
radio broadcasts in Puebla: Radio Oro, Cinco Radio,
Grupo Acir, Grupo Tribuna Comunicación and Ultra
Comunicaciones.
Internal and external communications were
strengthened through the use of different media,
among them the Cultural Agenda and the consoli-
dation of the Expresiones UDLAP project. Web media
coverage was increased and the content of the Uni-
versity´s social networks was improved using infor-
mation, photographs and videos.
Regarding the relationship with external commu-
nication media, the following were used: 494 press
bulletins, 89 invitations for media to attend events
carried out on the University campus and 39 press
conferences where activities and achievements of
the UDLAP community were announced.
In order to share achievements and inform the
UDLAP community, an internal communication
strategy was consolidated using Infórmate, Enté-
rate (weekly bulletin), Involúcrate (monthly itiner-
ary), the University web calendar, video screens and
communication boards on campus, UDLAP Informa
e-mail and University videos.
Similarly, strengthening the outreach and commu-
nication with society, we collaborate with the fol-
lowing magazines: Líder, Chic Magazine, Los Rostros,
Infrashion, Andares, Espresso Journal, Chic Univer-
sitario and Negocios y Turismo.
ALUMNI OUTREACH AND COMMUNICATION
During this period, over twelve thousand records in
the alumni database were updated, 20% more than
in the previous period, representing almost 50% of
the total base. This has allowed the University to be
more accurate with its communications, thus gen-
erating savings and providing updated information
that benefits the University.
In Facebook, the number of alumni page followers
increased to 7,600. About 500,000 people made
4,200 comments and posted over four million visual
impressions. Thirty-eight interest groups allow
a more individualized communication between
alumni and UDLAP. Currently, Twitter has 1,823 fol-
lowers (80% more than in 2011) and 2,359 tweets
(262.9% increase from 2011).
The exaUDLAP (an alumni organization) YouTube
channel has forty videos and 11,492 views, which rep-
resent a 71.5% increase from last year.
During 2012, over 1.6 million direct hits through mail-
ing were achieved in communications with alumni.
Seventy-eight interviews were carried out in order
to promote career paths, professional development
and alumni activities.
Issue 12 of Visión exaUDLAP had 22,500 printed cop-
ies and was sent to over 19,000 UDLAP alumni and
strategic allies in 2013. This edition has 56 pages and
over 50 collaborators, among them 30 alumni who
participated in different sections of the magazine,
such as exaUDLAP Careers, Entrepreneurship, Mov-
ing toward Kilimanjaro, What CEUDLAP Gave Me,
Memoirs of a Foreigner, Professional Development
Center, Social Responsibility and Being exaUDLAP.
Eleven alumni meetings by major, generation and
sports events occurred, reuniting over 729 alumni on
campus, as well as their families and friends.
For the second year in a row, we had exAzteca Day,
considered the "greenest day of the year", with the
presence of many alumni, who came to play soccer,
baseball, tocho and football, also commemorating
the VIII exAzteca Bowl.
In October the Fourth Azteca UDLAP 5 & 10 K Race
took place, as well as Kids 100 & 400 m. Race, which
gathered over 2,500 runners and 6,000 visitors from
Mexico State, Mexico City, Morelos, Oaxaca, Puebla,
Tlaxcala and Veracruz, of whom about 30% belong
to the University community.
In 2012, the Benefit Plan for UDLAP Community pro-
gram was strengthened. This program provides
exclusive discounts for alumni, students, and Uni-
versity employees in Puebla and all of Mexico, with a
total of 235 partnerships with businesses, 15 of which
are national and over 30% proudly UDLAP alumni.
