SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE OUTREACH
Strengthening UDLAP´s mission, and with the partic-
ipation of companies, institutions and organizations
committed to social responsibility, programs based
on the ethics and values that distinguish our Univer-
sity were conducted for the community.
The second edition of the Leadership Program for
Young Indigenous People took place. The objective
of this program is to strengthen the participant´s
abilities and train them to become active agents of
change who contribute to the development of their
communities. UDLAP students participated in this
program, and through the experience in social entre-
preneurship they were not only part of the program,
but also gained professional experience.
Our campus was the seat of the "Jóvenes en Acción
2012" (Young People in Action 2012) program, in
conjunction with the United States Embassy and
the Ministry of Public Education. In this program,
40 young people from different parts of Mexico par-
ticipated in academic activities led by our profes-
sors. The objective was to track the development of
projects that address community problems, promot-
ing teamwork, effective leadership, communication
through social networks, time management and cre-
ation of resources needed to execute the program.
As a result of a joint effort between UDLAP, Micro-
soft de México and Ilumina Foundation, for a second
