UDLAP OUTREACH
Workshop Museum, the Camaxtli Workshop of Tlax-
cala and the Tamayo Workshop of Oaxaca. In Octo-
ber, month of the Americas, the exhibit "Bosques de
alma" (Forests of the Soul) was inaugurated, from
the Puebla artist Luz Elvira Torres, showing paintings,
installations and textile graphics.
In the Madera Hall of the galleries, diverse cultural
activities were carried out: classical guitar concerts;
Mario Bojórquez" poetry workshop, in collaboration
with the Direction of Literature for the Puebla State
Council for Culture and Arts; and free admission film
cycles which brought art to the Cholula community.
During the Fall Season 2012, and with the help of
social service students, a project of education ser-
vices through art for Cholula area schools was
started. Over 100 elementary students were guided
on activities related to temporary exhibits of the Gal-
leries of the Casa del Caballero Águila.
The UDLAP cultural and artistic programming, car-
ried out throughout 2012 in different sites, strength-
ened our association with prestigious cultural
institutions, such as the Puebla Alliance Francaise,
the Franz Mayer Museum, the Hispanic Society of
America, the Indianilla Station Cultural Center, Inta-
glio Ediciones, The CODEX Foundation, Stanford Uni-
versity Libraries, the Puebla State Council for Culture
and Arts and the Cihuame Cultural Center, position-
ing UDLAP as a reference in the regional cultural map.
OUTREACH ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
In addition to the cultural and artistic events, dur-
ing 2012 we had multiple academic and sports activ-
ities and events:
XVIII International Congress on Architecture and
Interior Architecture: UDLAP Collective Conscious-
ness; the International Congress on Visual Informa-
tion Design EXID: Experience Information Design; the
XXII International Congress on Electronics, Commu-
nications and Computing: CONIELECOMP 2012; the
XXIV Congress on Industrial Engineering: Conquer-
ing Sectors; the VIII National Congress on Civil and
Environmental Engineering; the IX International
Congress on Chemical, Food and Environmental
Engineering; the Second National Congress on Hos-
pital Pharmacy; the Congress on Communication and
Education UDLAP 2012; the XXIII Congress on Law;
the Congress on Governance and Citizen Values; the
Twenty-Fifth Edition of Latin American Model UN:
LAMUN XXV 2012 and the Blackboard Forum 2012.
In addition, the following took place: the Third
UDLAP National Meeting on Science: Moving the
World through Science; the Second National Con-
gress on Physics and Mathematics; the Twenty-third
National Congress on Actuary and the IV Regional
Congress on Probability and Statistics.
The XII UDLAP Reto Negocios (Business Challenge)
International Symposium 2012: Undertaking Strate-
gic Actions for Mexico was presented with the par-
ticipation of over 3,000 attendees and outstanding
speakers such as Dr Luis Tellez Kunstler, President of
the Mexican Stock Exchange; Roberto Zapata Labrets,
President of Grupo Hoteles Misión; Roberto Gaudily,
President and General Manager of Gaudelli MCW; Syl-
via Hernández Benítez, Corporate Director of Global
Marketing of Gruma; Fabian Bielli Palmieri, CEO &
President of Olympus Imaging de México; Francisco
Lorenzo, UDLAP alumnus and General Manager of
Nokia México, and Carlos Mastretta, President and
General Manager of Tecnoidea SAPI.
UDLAP was the headquarters of the CONADEIP 2012
Congress, where its 35th anniversary was celebrated
with the presence of Luis Maldonado Venegas,
Puebla Minister of Public Education and Bernardo
de la Garza Herrera, ex General Manager of the
National Commission on Physical Culture and Sports
(CONADE).
In August 2012 the Aztecas Schools project was con-
solidated focusing on the Junior aa and a football
categories. This program gives children and teenag-
ers an excellent formation as individuals, students
and athletes so in the future they will become part of
our University following the same ideologies. With a
total of 40 participants, the Junior aa category was in
the Football League of Mexico State, A.C. (FADEMAC)
reaching semi-finals. Eleven participants were called
for the Star Bowl and three records were obtained.
The following were also carried out: Forum on Pro-
ductivity through Employment Inclusion and the
First Interstate Puebla-Tlaxcala Congress on Profes-
sionalization and Support of Women Entrepreneurs;
