Our faculty base their national and international renown on free thinking and research. UDLAP is proud to have teachers that due to their constant and lasting work are acknowledged in diverse forums and are committed to excellent education.

In 2011, four books were published with the support of our faculty and several institutions:

•El confort térmico y acústico en la vivienda with support of CONACYT, coordinated by Mario Eric Vergara Balderas, PhD of the Department of Architecture with collaboration of Nicolás Esteban López Tamayo, PhD; René Reyes Mazzoco, PhD; Amalia Sojo Benitez, MS and Juan Pablo Chargoy Amador, MS.

•La situación del mundo 2011. Innovaciones para alimentar el planeta coordinated by the Worldwatch Institute, in co-edition with Africam Safari, SEMARNAT (“Department of the Environment and Natural Resources”) and Televisa Foundation.

•La nueva cara de Puebla, los emprendedores que están transformando el Estado (“The new face of Puebla, the entrepreneurs that are transforming the State”) co-edited with Endeavor Puebla, written by the former students José Flores Sosa and Vincent Speranza Tougeron.

•Las aves de Cholula (“The birds of Cholula”) carried out in coordination with the Ethnobotanical Garden Francisco Peláez, faculty and former students of the bachelors degree in Biology of the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences.

Guillermo Ruiz Argüelles, PhD faculty of the Department of Health Sciences received from the Mayo Rochester Clinic the award of Distinguished Student.
