FACULTY ASSESSMENT

In order to strengthen and improve the teaching- learning process, we must be aware of the faculty performance and satisfaction level of our students. Therefore each semester the college community assesses the quality of the courses offered by the university. In the spring 2011 term 1,469 courses were evaluated, which represented 91% of the courses offered with a 66% response. In the fall 2011 semester 1,628 courses were assessed, which are equal to 94% of the total offering, obtaining a response percentage of 69% and an assessment average of 4.42 out of a 1-5 scale.

Our assessment system includes the utilization of student polls, the opinion of peers and of the head of the academic department, as well as participation in research, extension, consultancy and support activities to the UDLAP community.

In 2011, the award Compromiso con la Educación (“Commitment towards Education”) was conferred to be the best assessed faculty of each school:
