My first time living at the Colleges
Recommendations

What should I bring as a new resident to the Colleges?

Your room has the personal furniture listed below, which will make your stay comfortable while at a Residential College:

  • Bed with mattress.
  • Desk chair.
  • Desk.
  • Night table.
  • Closet.
  • Cork Board.
  • Shelves.
  • Network Connection (cable).
  • Trash Can.
  • Your room has a bed with a mattress; however, you must bring your linens (sheets, pillows, blankets, etc.) and a mattress protector.
  • The suite has a kitchen where you can prepare and/or eat your food.  However, you’ll need dishes. We recommend you bring glasses, cutlery, dishes, frying pan, saucepan, etc.
  • Don’t forget to bring clothes hangers so you can hang your clothes in the closet.
  • The weather in Puebla is variable, so you must include winter clothes for cold days.
  • During your university stay you will go to different formal events. Bring proper attire for these occasions (we recommend a suit for men and business suit or dress for women.)
  • Consider that you’ll use personal items, which you can bring or purchase in a supermarket. For example:
    • Shampoo.
    • Soap.
    • Towel.
    • Tooth paste.
    • Tooth brush.
    • Some others like gel, creams, hair conditioners, combs, etc.
    • *Toilet paper is provided daily by the cleaning staff, so it is not necessary for you to purchase it.
  • The suite has a laundry area with washer and dryer.  However, the detergent and related laundry items are responsibility of each resident. You may use any products you prefer, except for the detergent which must be liquid.
  • If you wish, you may bring other articles for your room, such as mini bar, chest of drawers, Blu Ray player, etc.
