MECHATRONICS ENGINEERING

The program of Licenciatura in Mechatronics Engineering at Fundacion Universidad de las Americas Puebla (UDLAP) forms professionals who are highly proficient in the theoretical elements to design, develop and improve automated equipment in industry. Also, the program develop a solid knowledge to implement alternative technologies in production processes, services and in the use of computational tools for the design and improvement of mechatronic systems. The program is committed to the formation of effective communicators, team members and independent thinkers as well as with the formation of individuals who recognize universal values and the importance of life-long learning.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The objectives for the mechatronics engineering program focus mainly on preparing engineers capable of entering and developing successfully in the workplace or on pursuing graduate studies not only in Mexico but also in foreign companies and institutions in areas related to discipline. During the initial years of their careers, UDLAP’s Mechatronics Engineering graduates will:

PEO # 1: Have a successful career in Mechatronics Engineering by demonstrating technical proficiency in the theoretical and practical knowledge of the discipline.

PEO # 2: Have a successful career in Mechatronics Engineering and become effective communicators, team members, decision makers and leaders.

PEO # 3: Understand the global impact of the profession and recognize the social responsibility of Mechatronics Engineers.

PEO # 4: Recognize the relevance of life-long learning and commit to professional development.
