IPBS Students

UDLAP is member of IPBS (International Partnership of Business Schools), a consortium of 13 leading business schools in Europe, North and Latin America.

Undergraduate students (single virtual course)

How to apply?

International Affairs at UDLAP aims to attract undergraduate students in business studies. We expect these students to meet the following requirements:

  1. 1

    Be enrolled at a participating university

    To be an undergraduate student at one of the participating universities for virtual exchange.

  2. 2

    Have home university approval

    Have the official approval and be officially nominated by their home university.

Step 1: Seek Approval

Undergraduate students must be approved by their home university in order to study an online course at UDLAP.

Step 2: Fill out the Application Form

The UDLAP application form must be downloaded and completed using the following instructions:

  1. 1

    Use the passport name

    The name must be used exactly as it appears on the passport.

  2. 2

    Enter citizenship information correctly

    If the student is a dual citizen, it is important to inform us of both citizenships.

  3. 3

    Permanent Address

    Use the address where the student lives when he/she is not at school. This is most likely the parent's address.

  4. 4

    Mailing Address

    Use the address where the student lives while at school. If this is also the permanent address, it is not necessary to fill out this section.

  5. 5

    Academic Information

    Select the correct number of semesters. The student will be entered into the system accordingly.

Step 3: Send all required documents to UDLAP

The following required documents must be sent to UDLAP as part of the application:

  • Application for Admission form properly filled out as indicated.
  • Copy of Passport (valid throughout the entire stay at UDLAP).
  • Copy of the Official academic transcript from the student’s home university with the institution’s signature and stamp (transcript must be translated into Spanish or English).
  • One front view passport-size photo, in color and white background, with a minimum resolution of 300X300. This photo is mandatory and must be delivered in JPG format with your full name.
  • Course Selection Form with two options of courses in order of priority.
Important

No changes will be made after submitting the application.

Upload all your documents in a PDF file in our incoming platform before the application deadline. Let us know if you want to stay at oncampus dormitories, the rooms will be subject to availability.

Once the International Affairs Office at UDLAP has received all necessary application materials, a letter of acceptance and all complementary information will be sent by email to the student.

Academic Program

The coordinator of incoming students will register the class according to their options on the Course Selection Form. After our Online Orientation Program, the student will receive his/her class schedule, and he/she will not be able to make any changes.

Identify international and global marketing concepts and theories, applying analysis tools to develop successful strategies for products and services in international markets to improve the position of the company in the market.

At the end of this course, the student will be able to understand how companies formulate, implement and evaluate strategies. The student will be able to plan the future direction of different organizations, making objective strategy decisions and justifying them.
LNI2012 Business regulation in mexico Spanish Monday and Friday
01:00 p.m. to 02:15 p.m.
Understand the basic principles and guidelines for conducting business in Mexico through the specific analysis of the framework established by Mexican law on business matters, in order to identify the legal context of business development in the country.

Undergraduate-level students may enroll up to 5 courses per semester (30 credits). Graduate-level (Master) students may enroll up to 2 courses per trimester (12 credits). All courses are 6 UDLAP Academic units (equivalent to 6 ECTS), which include weekly guided instruction and independent study hours for the entire duration of the 16-week semester or 10-week trimester. The total duration of each course is 48 guided hours and 48 independent study hours.

An official academic transcript will be provided as follows:

Only one official transcript in English can be issued for each student at the end of his/her period at UDLAP. The transcript will be sent to his/her home university.

Important

UDLAP will not release any transcript if the student fails to complete the pre-departure process, or leaves any outstanding debts at UDLAP. There are no exemptions to this.

Additional Transcript

If the student needs an extra copy of his/her UDLAP transcript, there will be an additional cost.

In order to request additional transcripts, the student must:

  • Send an email from his/her UDLAP account to Register Office (servicios.escolares@udlap.mx) including his/her ID and Full name.
  • Make the online payment for the transcript/s.
  • Send the payment receipt in to his/her Administrative Coordinator at Register Office.

MGM students

MGM is a Full-Time Graduate Program and can be completed in 10 - 15 months. It is a collaborative international program at two universities in two different countries. The program is focused on the international dimension of Business and Management. Therefore, the courses are entirely taught in English. UDLAP receives MGM students only during fall semesters, as part of their first track.

How to apply?

International Affairs at UDLAP aims to attract recent graduates of an undergraduate program in business studies or suitably qualified graduates from related fields with a secondary focus on business studies. We expect these students to meet the following requirements:

    Be accepted in the MGM program

    To be accepted in the MGM graduate program of IPBS.

  2. 2

    Have MGM Program approval

    Have the official approval to study abroad and be officially nominated by the MGM Program to study at UDLAP.

Step 1: Seek Approval

A MGM student must be approved by the MGM Program of IPBS in order to study at UDLAP for the first track.

Step 2: Fill out the Application Form

A MGM student must download and complete this application form using the following instructions:

    Use the passport name

    The name must be used exactly as it appears on the passport.

    Enter citizenship information correctly

    If the student is a dual citizen, it is important to inform us of both citizenships.

    Permanent Address

    Use the address where the student lives when he/she is not at school. This is most likely the parent's address.

    Select the correct option under Academic Information and indicate the student's current level and year of study.

    The student will decide the option of living on campus.

    Health Insurance

    The Health Insurance section must be read carefully. An international student must have a health international insurance including repatriation in case of death, sanitary and emergency evacuation.

Step 3: Send all required documents to UDLAP

The following required documents must be sent to UDLAP as part of the application:

  • Application for Admission form properly filled out as indicated.
  • Copy of Passport (valid throughout the entire stay at UDLAP).
  • Copy of Bachelor’s degree from the home University with stamp and program coordinator’s signature or letter from institution.
  • UDLAP’s medical form approved and signed by the student’s doctor or healthcare provider.
  • One front view passport-size photo, in color and white background, with a minimum resolution of 300X300. This photo is mandatory and must be delivered in JPG format with your full name.
  • Copy of the student’s international medical insurance policy including name, date of birth, policy number and coverage details.
Important

All documents must be sent by email in a PDF file to dual.udlap@udlap.mx by the application deadline.

Once the International Affairs Office at UDLAP has received all necessary application materials, a letter of acceptance and all complementary information will be sent by email to the student.

Health Insurance

Medical Insurance is Mandatory to come to UDLAP. Without exception, all International students are required to have health insurance coverage at their own expense that meets all the international coverage requirements, including COVID-19, full repatriation of remains and sanitary or emergency evacuation as a minimum.

The students must upload a copy of their medical insurance policy to the UDLAP incoming platform as a requirement to complete their registration process. This policy has to contain the following information:

  • Student’s name and date of birth.
  • Insurance company name.
  • Insurance policy number.
  • Insurance company’s emergency telephone.
  • Insurance coverage dates.
  • Main coverage details, including repatriation of remain, emergency or sanitary evacuation and COVID-19.

UDLAP provides all international students with free Medical Services (basic care) on campus. Psychological support and counseling are also available under request at the Student Center.

Important

The student will not be able to sign up for courses officially if he/she has not yet provided proof of medical insurance to the International Office.

Visa Services

Before coming to Mexico

  • If the student’s study program at UDLAP lasts less than 180 days and the student’s nationality is registered on the no-visa list, it is possible to enter in Mexico as a VISITOR.
  • If the nationality requires visa, he/she has to obtain a VISITOR VISA in the embassy or consulate of Mexico nearest to his/her place of residence.

Students with VISITOR status cannot change or extend their stay in Mexico and cannot receive any type of remuneration in the country.

Arrival in Mexico

During the trip to Mexico, the migration staff will deliver a Multiple Migratory Form (FMM), which must be filled by the student with his/her personal information. Once in the port-of-entry, the migration staff will ask the student to show the FMM and valid passport.

Stay in Mexico

During the entire stay in Mexico, the student must keep the part of the Multiple Migratory Form (FMM) given by the migration staff at the port-of-entry.

Academic Program

During Orientation Day, the student will have a meeting with his/her Academic Coordinator Dr. Luis Alberto Barroso Moreno (luis.barroso@udlap.mx) at UDLAP, in order to get information about the academic program he/she will follow.

At the beginning of each trimester, the Academic Coordinator will register classes according to the student’s Academic Program. During Orientation week, the student will receive his/her class schedule, and he/she will not be able to make any changes.

  • Make the payment for the transcript/s at Unicaja.
  • Hand the Unicaja payment receipt in to his/her Incoming Exchange Coordinator.
  • His/Her Administrative Coordinator will ship the additional transcripts to him/her according to the dates mentioned above.
