FACULTY OF EXCELLENCE
Being an institution with academic quality no doubt
requires an active participation of the faculty.
For this reason, we continue to hire professors of
national and international prestige with the high-
est degrees in their field. During Fall 2012 and Spring
2013 semesters, 22 full time professors were added
to the Schools of Business and Economics, Arts and
Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science.
OUR PROFESSORS
UDLAP´s academic staff is distinguished by their edu-
cation in prestigious national and international uni-
versities, and by their professional experience in
teaching, research and business. Our teaching staff
consists of 608 professors; 66% of full time profes-
sors have the highest degree in their discipline, 33%
a Master´s degree and 1% just Licenciatura. In all,
40% of our faculty has a Doctorate and 56% has a
Master´s degree.
In the period 2012-2013, the Office of Research, Grad-
uate Studies and Academic Development offered
more than 100 courses as part of our Academic
Updating Program, aiming to provide our professors
with a process of continuous improvement in their
field through the use of educational innovations.
This program also gives them support and feedback,
thus developing abilities in agreement with the mis-
sion and vision of the institution.
The courses offered in this period, attended by 537
full and part time professors, focused on information
technology, critical thinking, intellectual property
and use of the services and resources of our libraries.
