MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENT

WE SHALL CONTINUE WORKING WITH OUR FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS TO OBTAIN RESOURCES FOR CULTURAL AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES, AS WELL AS TO SUPPORT ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH PROGRAMS.

PROCUREMENT OF FUNDS

UDLAP works on a financial self-sufficiency basis and therefore it requires the implementation of fundraising programs to obtain resources through donations and sponsorships with the intention to support academic and research programs, as well as for cultural and sports activities.

Thanks to the support of the Nacional Monte de Piedad, during the 2011 spring period we acquired equipment for the Bachelors Degree in Nursing with a donation of 7 million pesos.

We formalized our relationship with Hewlett-Packard, by the signing of a collaboration agreement to carry out projects of academic, scientific, professional, and research exchange, as well as culture and sports promotion; additionally we obtained the donation of calculators to equip the financial simulation, industrial engineering and civil engineering laboratories, to be used by students and faculty.

Dow Química Mexicana committed to UDLAP has reaffirmed its commitment to promote arts

and culture by economically supporting the representative cultural teams in the 2011 UDLAP Choir tour. Likewise we jointly organized a dance contest that benefited 10 students of the Bachelors Degree in Dance with scholarships in the amount of 108,000 pesos.

We formalized a collaboration agreement with Volkswagen Bank and Volkswagen Leasing for art and culture, as well as for academic, scientific and professional exchange. The first project of such agreement was the support as sponsor of the 2011 Fall Season of the UDLAP Chapel of Arts.

In 2011, we had the participation of more than 20 sponsoring corporations that had trademark presence related to institutional projects, among them academic events, sports teams and for the first time, cultural teams with donations of 3.4 million pesos in cash and more than half a million pesos as support in kind.
