Objective

Train Visual Arts professionals who can design and create artistic works and projects in multiple formats, using virtual learning environments and technological tools, applying theoretical models and professional visual resources to develop reflective and expressive skills, responding to current social paradigms and consolidating art’s relevance in the global cultural sphere.

The Visual Arts’ teaching learning process is based on competencies. This focus includes knowledge, skills and attitudes, thus training ethical professionals who can respond to the needs and requirements of artists or audiovisual producers in a globalized world.

  • Identify philosophical perspectives and artistic movements in contemporary art to develop creative projects with technological tools and digital resources, promoting expression, reflection and personal and social development.
  • Compare visual arts production trends and styles to recommend creative solutions to problems, with ecological awareness and contributing to the care of the community.
  • Transform material resources into artistic projects by analyzing conceptual and technical processes, promoting artistic production in public and private institutions.
  • Create artistic projects and objects professionally, mastering material elements and technical processes to make significant contributions to the cultural field.
  • Base the construction of artistic works and discourses on critical analysis to enhance their expressiveness in work projects.
