Objective

Train music professionals with critical thinking, practical and creative technique, capable of analyzing and exploring music and sounds through various methodologies, fostering individuality, curiosity and self-discipline. Use virtual learning environments and technological tools to promote music as an essential part of society, combining ethical and professional values to promote its development as a profession in Mexico and in a global context.

The Music’s teaching learning process is based on competencies. This focus includes knowledge, skills and attitudes, thus training ethical professionals who can respond to musical needs and requirements in a globalized world.

  • Analyze musical works through historical and cultural contexts to understand their meaning within society.
  • Differentiate musical structures and auditory models to participate in musical productions as a soloist or in ensembles.
  • Explore diverse repertoires through historical and stylistic schemes, guaranteeing a coherent performance with the cultural context.
  • Examine musical interpretation proposals by exchanging ideas to achieve responsible and appropriate performances for different audiences.
  • Identify and apply vocal techniques in tonal and atonal harmonic progressions, both in polyphonic writing and in to interpret complex passages.
  • Manage personal learning by effectively using digital resources to enhance professional and musical development.
