Objective

Train Dental Surgeons, who can identify, describe and diagnose oral conditions, using innovative procedures, techniques and equipment to treat and rehabilitate the oral cavity and promote oral health in the population.

Graduate profile

The Dental Surgeon’s teaching learning process is based on competencies to integrate knowledge, skills and attitudes that train ethical professionals who can meet the oral health needs and requirements of the population, in a global world.

Conocimientos

  • Integrate fundamentals, theoretical, methodological, practical and technical knowledge about dentistry, by analyzing this area’s various subjects to identify and apply the actions to follow during their clinical dental work.
  • Understand dental diseases and pathologies by analyzing case studies, to contribute to timely guidance and intervention.
  • Identify the actions to be carried out in the care of oral diseases, through general prevention measures, to reduce oral conditions in society.
  • Gather information to diagnose cases based on the results obtained, through inter and multidisciplinary work, to decide the plan to follow in rehabilitation.
  • Understand the necessary measures to proceed with oral interventions to care for the population and be able to prevent and rehabilitate society to promote oral health.
  • Identify the symptoms of a condition based on an orderly and methodological clinical analysis to design treatments based on the identification of the patient's pathologies.
