Maria Dolores Lozano holds a bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). She has a Masters and PhD from the Graduate School of Education, University of Bristol, specializing in embodied cognition. She has taught mathematics, pedagogy and special topics in psychology at different school levels and has participated in several education and research projects. She has also participated in professional development initiatives for mathematics teachers and has organized research seminars. She has published research articles published in national and international journals and is the author of a number of mathematics textooks and teaching materials both for primary and secondary school levels.
Her interests center on the relationships between affect, cognition and wellbeing and she is certified as an instructor of Mindfulness and of different methodologies for stress regulation.
She is currently full time professor at the Education Sciences Department, Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
