He is a Doctor (Ph.D) in Management Science from the Higher School of Business Administration and Management ESADE Business School of the Ramón Llull University in Barcelona, ??Spain. He has a masters degree in Business Administration for executives from the Olmeca University and a Biochemical Engineer from the Technological Institute of Villahermosa. He has a Postgraduate Specialization in Total Quality Management (TQC) and Continuous Productivity Improvement (KAIZEN) from Sophia University and the Central Industrial Association of Japan (CHU-SAN-REN) in Tokyo and Nagoya Japan, receiving training in the Toyota Motor Company Tsutsumi Plant in Toyota City, Aichi Province, Japan.

He collaborated in Bimbo and Pemex for more than 10 years. He has been a consultant for Spanish, South American and Mexican companies in the area of ??Manufacturing (distribution and production) and Services such as: Hotels, Restaurants, Mechanical Workshops, Public Government Organizations, and Town Halls. Advisor to the UN on issues of improvement and modernization of the public sector. He worked as a full-time professor at the Graduate School of Administration-EGADE Business School of the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), where he was director of the Doctorate in Administration; Professor at the ITESM headquarters in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. Visiting professor at ESADE Business School in the Master in Operations Management of Barcelona Spain and visiting professor at the Pontificia Universidad Comillas in Madrid.
He has written more than forty articles in the international academic field in refereed journals, including: Academy of Management Learning and Education (ISI Web of Science, SCOPUS), Business Process Management Journal (ISI Web of Science, SCOPUS), TQM Journal (ISI Web of Science, SCOPUS), INNOVAR Journal of Administrative Science (RANKING ISI Thompson Reuters), Total Quality Management and Business Excellence RANKING ISI Thompson Reuters), and TQM Journal (indexed journal, C1, and C2). He is the author of 10 books on the subject of Kaizen philosophy, some with more than 4000 copies sold, such as La Filosofía Kaizen by Editorial Panorama, Kaizen-GP by Porrúa, Innovación de Procesos by Editorial Ágora, and Kaizen-Coaching by Editorial UDLAP. . In 2020 he published his new book: My Encounter with Kaizen. Ten management lessons from the perspective of a Mexican samurai. He is currently a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) level II.
Winner of the first prize “Case Writing Competition” of the EFMD of the European Union in the category of continuous improvement and innovation and journal of excellence with the case “Kaizen in Public Service. A case study in a public enviromental organization in Mexico ”(2018). He considers himself a scientist in the field of management and continuous improvement, a disciplined and constant researcher. He likes to teach students what they can apply in real life.
Since 2015 he is a full-time professor in the Academic Department of International Business Administration of the School of Business and Economics at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla, where he serves as Academic Director.
