JOSEFINA BUXADÉ CASTELAN

Maestría en Ciencias de la Comunicación , Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona.
Licenciada en Comunicación, Universidad Iberoamericana campus Santa Fé.


JOSEFINA BUXADE has a masters degree in Communication Sciences from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and a degree in Communication from the Universidad Iberoamericana (Ciudad de Mexico).
She has worked since 1988 at Universidad de las Américas Puebla; in the social communication area and since 1998 as a full-time professor in the Department of Communication Sciences, of which she was head from January 2009 to March 2010. From 2000 to 2004 she advised the student newspaper La Catarina.
From 2005 to 2008 she was commissioner of the Commission for Access to Public Information of the State of Puebla.
She has participated as a speaker in national and international conferences, forums, and seminars and has been a columnist in e-consulta, El Heraldo, El Sol de Puebla, Cambio, La Quinta Columna, Síntesis, and Momento.
She was a congresswoman at the Congress of the State of Puebla in the LVIII Legislature and presided the Transparency Commission from February 2011 to May 2013, and the Governance and Constitutional Points Commission from June 2013 to January 2014.
She was head of the General Transparency Coordination, attached to the Secretary of the Comptroller of the Government of the State of Puebla from February 2014 to March 2015.
He served as head of the State Coordination of Transparency and Open Government from February 20, 2017, to March 12, 2020.
His topics of interest are Journalism, the Right to Information, Transparency, Open Data, and Communication with a Gender Perspective.
