Juan Horacio Espinoza Rodríguez is Doctor and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and Physics from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute Monterrey Unit (CINVESTAV - Monterrey Unit). He graduated in Physics from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León.

His research topics focus on the use of visible and ultraviolet light sources for applications
therapies, as well as infrared thermography as a non-invasive tool to detect body alterations based on an unusual increase in temperature. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) level 1.

Since January 2017, he is a Full-time Professor at the School of Engineering at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla where he teaches biomaterials, biomechanics, and medical imaging, among others. All of them of the Degree in Biomedical Engineering.
