Dr. Angélica Alonso Rivera holds a PhD and Masters degree in Economic Sciences and Economic Sciences from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, with a specialty in Finance and has a Bachelors degree in Economics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

Dr. Alonso has participated as a speaker in national and international conferences such as ACACIA, organized by the Business School of the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey; International Financial Conference, at the Faculty of Economics of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in the Program for Commercial Competitiveness in SMEs for the Prologyca program of the Ministry of Economy and in the SLADE Latin American Congress of the Universidad de las Americas Puebla.

His research areas focus mainly on the study of efficiency in financial markets; formation of speculative bubbles; impact of monetary policy on the real and financial sector and the impact of human behavior in financial markets through the application and development of mathematical tools of nonlinear analysis.

During his professional career he has worked as a consultant in business culture, professionalization of PYMES, and development of logistics competitiveness for programs such as Prologyca, of the Ministry of Economy, has also worked in the Ministry of Economy within the Development Program of the Software and Innovation Industry, Prosoft. Within the teaching field, he has more than 19 years of experience, during this time he has collaborated in public and private institutions, among which the Univerdidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Facultad de Estudios Superiores campus Acatlán, among others.

Dr. Alonso defines herself as an empathic teacher and concerned with the learning of her students, enjoys the teaching activity because she considers that it allows her, to collaborate in the formation of a better country. She is currently a full-time professor at the Universidad de Las Américas Puebla in the Banking and Investment department.
