Downloadable Brochure

Graduates of Logistics Engineering and Supply Chain will demonstrate the following during the first few years after graduation, the ability…

PEO # 1: Career

…to work as professionals within engineering or related areas, and/or participate in research and development in science, engineering, technology and entrepreneurship.

PEO #2: Practice

…to practice Logistics Engineering in the design, improvement and implementation of logistics networks, drawing upon the collaborative work and effective communication.

PEO #3: Continuous Learning

…to expand continuously their skill-set and knowledge, if required, through independent study or high-level training such as professional certifications or graduate studies.

PEO #4: Engagement and Social Accountability

…to achieve and maintain positions of influence in their organizations, from which they demonstrate a strong social commitment starting with the assessment of the impacts derived of their decisions.

As a graduate from the Licenciatura in Logistics and Supply Chain Engineering you will design and operate logistics networks, applying and managing new technologies in the location, acquisition, material handling, storage, packing, and distribution of products and services, in order to improve supply chains, logistics, and customer service for companies.

Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree. Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

In addition to enhancing your entry skills, at the Licenciatura in Logistics and Supply Chain Engineering we propose to:

  • Teach you applicable regulations of international trade.
  • Encourage you to apply the administrative and legal basics to operate logistics networks efficiently.
  • Make you master the principles of an efficient distribution process based on customer satisfaction.
  • Train you to use information instruments to plan, manage, and design logistics systems.
  • Teach you to use the available resources for inventory management.
  • Give you experience in solving problems related to handling materials and distributing and transporting goods.
  • Teach you to plan, manage, and evaluate the results of a supply chain.
  • Is interested in different management methods and their applications.
  • Likes math, information tools, and logistic management and design.
  • Willing to work for the greater good, for customer satisfaction and successful companies.
  • Is curious and willing to learn new things.
  • Wants to participate in a company’s international logistics.
  • Able to design logistics systems and business processes through optimization models and simulations to contribute to logistics networks.
  • Identifies management strategies, using legal and administrative aspects of foreign trade and international treaties to operate logistics networks.
  • Understands logistics systems and the application of lean systems to reduce costs, waste, and/or delivery times.
  • Able to propose solutions to problems related to material handling and transportation and distribution of goods, using optimization techniques and fundamentals to make logistics networks more efficient.
  • Able to use mathematical programing and heuristic simulation methods to obtain a representation of real behavior to evaluate alternatives and decision-making for companies.

Supply Chain and Logistics Engineering graduates will have developed the following skills:

  1. Identify, formulate and solve complex problems concerned with logistics and supply chain management applying the principles inherent to the career.
  2. Apply appropriate methodologies for designing of logistics networks and supply chains producing solutions that meet the requirements of stakeholders.
  3. Evaluate the operation of logistics networks and supply chains considering different scenarios; analyze and interpret the results obtained and apply the engineering criteria to obtain conclusions.
  4. Maintain effective communication, both orally and writing, not only with people with the same career but with a lot of kind of interlocutors.
  5. Recognize ethical responsibility whereas practicing of Logistics Engineering and Supply Chain Management and make judgments based on truthful information and considering the economic, environmental and social implications of the proposed solutions on the local and global contexts.
  6. Recognize the need to acquire additional knowledge and skills on Logistics Engineering and Supply Chain Management and be able to find, evaluate, integrate and apply them effectively and efficiently.
  7. Work effectively in teams whose leadership comes from the joint action of its members, who contribute to creating a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, fulfill commitments, analyze risks and uncertainty, and reach agreements.
