ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

This 2011-2012 Activities Report represents many of the achievements of our community during the past 12 months; no doubt that many more which are not reported were accomplished thanks to the work of all the people integrating this great UDLAP family. At the end of the April 2011-March 2012 period, the Universidad de las Américas Puebla continues demonstrating to insiders and outsiders that it is an institution with the best academic quality in Mexico, since it was granted global recognition and continues accrediting its bachelors, masters and PhD degrees at the national and international level. Even more important is the transformation of our curricula and the launching of 12 new bachelors degree programs, thus clearly showing that we are an institution in which innovation and academic quality are not empty words, but rather permanent activities for the well-being of our students and the world’s future.

Today we must continue working as a university community to reach our goals of UDLAP consolidating its academic/administrative identity. I invite you to continue working together during the next 12 months in order to ensure that the multicultural environment be strongly extended –despite difficulties due to the country’s insecurity- so that the academic quality of our institution be consolidated with new hiring of full time faculty, and important investment in laboratory equipment; likewise, in order to provide academic facilities necessary for research work and to ensure our financial capacity with the purpose of providing economic support to all worthy students.

My commitment to you is to continue working tirelessly until we achieve our objective of being recognized, indisputably, as the best private university of Latin America.
