In the framework of the Americas Celebrations, we opened new radio and television laboratories. With an investment of more than one million dollars, we modernized and adapted spaces of the three audio production booths, which have systems and screens to perform video dubbing and soundtrack. In addition, the television studio has a set surface of 100 square meters, master control, sets and costumes warehouse, and reception and dressing room. The set has 4 cameras with transport system, teleprompter, crane, rails, steadycam, wireless microphones, cyclorama and inter-communication system.
Relocation the Language Department to the Humanities building was carried out and the buildings named CAL and CAIL were remodeled to house the Health Sciences area. The work consisted of the reconstruction of 6 classrooms, one multiple-use laboratory, two operating rooms, recovery room, simulation rooms, RCP classrooms, trauma and amphitheater with standards that comply with the current regulations.
We renewed the model workshop used by students of the Bachelors Degree in Architecture, and acquired furniture for the music rooms and photography laboratory. Additionally, we replaced the dance room floorboard for better cushioning, and changes in the illumination were made, which will allow better development of the academic activities.
In the gardens behind the Agora we remodeled a hallway in order to create a space for conversation and artistic expression of the university community. A 140-square-meter mural with the theme La infinidad contenida de la mente humana (“Infinity contained in the human mind” ) stands out, made by students
