As a graduate from the Bachelor of Nutrition Sciences you will be able to diagnose, prevent, and treat eating disorders by applying nutritional evaluation methods and developing meal plans, thus promoting and maintaining health in individuals, groups, and the general population. You will be able to work in the food industry, as a private practitioner, and in areas of clinical and community nutrition, with a high sense of responsibility, ethics, and social commitment.

Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree. Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

In addition to enhancing your entry skills, at the Licenciatura in Nutrition Sciences we propose to:

  • Provide you with an innovative mentality to design new foodstuffs.
  • Teach you to understand the nutritional properties of foods, as well as their effects on health, stability, and quality.
  • Teach you the most innovative knowledge in the nutritional composition, structure, and properties of foodstuffs.

  • Able to evaluate food quality using chemical and microbiological analysis to guarantee correct and innocuous diets.
  • Proficient in diet design through the selection of food according to composition to satisfy health requirements and special physiological conditions.
  • Competent in the analysis of nutritional states, using anthropometric, biochemical, clinical, and dietary evaluation for a correct application of the nutritional assistance process.
  • Able to develop nutritional intervention strategies by evaluating and diagnosing individuals, groups, and the general population to maintain, restore, and promote health.
  • Able to identify sociocultural aspects linked to nutrition in communities through epidemiological studies, and to design nutritional intervention programs.
  • Proficient in identifying nutritional assimilation mechanisms in organisms by applying metabolic and physiological processes to determine the effect of diet on health.
